UTAH COMMUNITY ACTION Electrician in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Utah Community Action of Salt Lake City, UT is seeking to hire a full time Electrician. Are you currently licensed as an electrician in the State of Utah or have the training and experience necessary to become licensed upon hire? Would you like to work a typical 8-5 Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or evenings? Would you like to work for a nonprofit that has room for growth and often promotes from within? If so, please read on! This Electrician position earns a competitive wage of $17.19-$23.00/hour depending on education and experience. We also offer generous benefits, including health, dental, vision, a flexible spending account (FSA), a healthcare spending account (HSA) with up to a $2,500 match, a 401k plan with 5% match, short and long-term disability, accident insurance, life insurance, 11 paid holidays, paid time off between Christmas and New Year's, accrue sick and vacation time, and an hour of paid time on Fridays for self-care. Typical work schedule 7:30am-4:00pm. No weekend or night shifts. This position is responsible to provide electrical service and repairs in homes that are receiving weatherization services in Salt Lake, Tooele, Davis, Morgan and Weber Counties. Transportation and tools are provided. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ELECTRICIAN As an electrician you will Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. You will ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Taking responsibility for following and complying with assigned work orders is a privilege to you. You enjoy being responsible for proper use and maintenance of vehicles and tools. Your experience as an electrician in a residential setting is a plus for you. You love to troubleshoot problems and plan things out. Safety is a concern to you are you are aware of the best way to handle each job. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ELECTRICIAN: *High School Diploma or GED. *2 years of residential construction experience (experience can include insulation, framing, remodeling or other related fields). *Must currently be licensed as an electrician in the State of Utah or have the training and experience necessary to become licensed upon hire.
