Job Description

Spherion Staffing is looking for electricians to be directly hired on to our client, located in West Ogden, UT.

The schedule is as follows;

Day shift is: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Grave shift is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You will rotate every 4 weeks

You will work the 2-2-3 schedule. That means the first week you'll work M,Tu, then have W, Th off, then work F, Sa, Su. The next week you'll have OFF M, Tu, then WORK W, Th, then have OFF F, Sa, Su! Its a great schedule, and you'll only ever work 26 weeks out of the year! Most people love it.

The employee will maintain and repair all equipment assigned in his/her area with job assignments given only in general terms. Most assignments will be completed without direct supervision. He/she will do most of their own design, layout, and engineering work. He/she will make, file and maintain as-built drawings, basic schematics and documentation of programs they install for future reference. He/she will possess a strong knowledge of the current National Electrical Code to properly install equipment assigned, to perform in a safe and workmanship like manner. He/she will accept responsibility in the training, instruction, supervision and safety of any classifications or personnel as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following:

Installs, calibrates, integrates, troubleshoots and repairs instrumentation and electrical control devices including: Smart controllers, mag meters, density meters, valve positioners, differential pressure meters and transmitters, PLC devices; i.e. processors, I/O, power supplies, communications ports, weigh scales, nuclear, weigh beam and load cell type, motor starters and relay control devices, power distribution equipment 480 and 120 & 4160 volt, lighting, LAN/WAN, PC hardware/software configuration experience, temperature control: Gas-fired drier control, VFD's installation and programming.

Creates and makes recommendations for as-built drawings, basic schematics, and documentation of relevant work for future reference.

Leads and develops apprentice-level instrumentation technicians, as required.

Enters work orders into E-1 CMM system.

This position works to comply with all CMP Instrumentation Program Standards.

Responds to emergent work as necessary to create a balance in achieving site priorities.

Will work on the power side of electrical and instrumentation as assigned.

Maintains high standards for completing all required documents.

Adheres to established EH&S performance standards.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Skills:

Education and Experience:

Certification in Industrial Electrical or Instrumentation must meet the requirements for the Utah apprenticeship/Journeymen's certification program and or a minimum of 5-years' experience in instrumentation and/or electrical programs. Must have excellent team-building skills. Must have an in-depth knowledge of instrumentation in a heavy industrial facility. Experience in leadership and electrical applications in an industrial setting will be viewed as an added factor in the selection process.

Mathematical and Reasoning Ability and Skills: The ability to perform calculations pertaining to electrical systems. Ability to collect and accurately assemble data in a logical manner.
